dirty pup

A dirty pup in October

Since my new job I have been working extremely long hours, the drive home isnt' bad at all, but I have yet to make it to karate since last week, even though I try so hard. This is mainly because I have to come straight home and let the pooch out. I think about him every second I'm gone past oh about 20 minutes. Wondering if he's sleeping, if he needs to go out. Don't fret leo is enrolled in Doggy day care, he no longer goes the to the Mutt hutt anymore, he now is a student at Camp Bow Wow. And they even have doggy cams. Yes my dog is my life, and yes be fearful of the day I have children. I slightly go over board. haha. Today I didn't leave work til 6:15, so I didn't make it home til almost 7:30, so I came home, swooped up Leo and took him to a dog park in Medina. He was like a wild man on the loose. However since we had a flood the past weekend, his white fur was stained brown. So I piled him in my car and we drove home. Once we got home I hosed him down, this was not easy. He hated the cold water. So to sum up my story, he is still muddy under his belly, and I'm thinking eh oh well. I towel dried him off the best I can..I'm thinking he needs a day at the doggy spa soon to get fooooofed. Love my baby!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Today is my grandpa's 79th birthday. I got to spend the afternoon with him, my grandma, my parents and my aunt and uncle. He got to have is favorite cake (anglefood with strawberries) and for an afternoon, the attention was on him. Only him. When I find someone someday(soon I hope) I pray that he will love me the way my grandpa loves my grandma. Their love is such an inspiration. When my grandma wants to get into her wheel chair, my grandpa picks her up and puts her there. This is not an easy task. My grandma can't help very much, but she throws her one arm around him and hangs on for dear life. Today when she sat in her wheel chair she just started to cry. He kissed her head, then her forehead and said "honey, please don't cry, you did so well" then he kissed her again and said " please don't cry, we are all crying right here with you." Then he said "its okay, you can cry, i know this is hard"

And it is. This time in our lives is so hard. And it probally was to early for him to bring her home, but this is what she wanted it. And my grandfather is a proud man. And I truly believe that he believes he is going to do everything he can to help her on his own. And if his health hurts because of it , he is okay with that because he doesn't want to be here with out her. Being there and seeing this is hard, but it is also breath taking. I hope I find a man who would love me like that if I ever, god forbid, go through something like this. Although I must admit I am afraid to want that. The only person I thought ever did love me like that, didn't and isn't there for me.

But enough about that. My grandfather is a true inspiration to me and it is no secret that he is my favorite person on the planet. We have always had a special connection, I have always been his Amy girl, or as others have picked up "ramis" I pray everyday he's around when I finally find true happiness because he has truly encouraged me to believe it exists. love you grampy

bet on it bet on it

okay fess up!! who's a huge fan of High School Musical? I have to admit. At the age of 25, I still get excited to watch this high school teeny bopper musical. The first two movies I have seen at least a dozen times. I can sing along to the songs and even recal certain scenes. I did have midnight showing tickets to the 3rd movie, but ended up falling asleep and missed it because I wasn't feeling well. Well I had the pleasure to watch it tonight with my bestfriend Lindsey. She is knew to the HSM craze, and we had so much fun laughing at the corny moments. She is inlove with the fact that zach and vanessa are together in real life. aren't we all!?!? haha. Although i have to say I am more of a chad fan than troy. I know ladies, throw rocks at me. but his curly hair is so awesome! haha. what is your favorite HSM song?!?! I have to say my favorite is Ladder of Success by none other than Sharpay and Ryan!

what an asshole

the biggest loser in the world
and the girls who bought his bullshit

So even though I am sure we all tuned into watch the bachelor last night..and even though I had unveiled the outcome weeks ago thank to reality steve, nothing could prepare me for how angry I was, to watch Jason's lack of compassion as he told Melissa he was breaking up with her. After watching her reaction when he proposed. I thought it was adorable the way she bent down to his level, and to see him have no remorse about breaking her heart...oh which he realized she wasn't the one for him after 6 weeks. 6 weeks people. please..give me a break. he didn't even give her a chance. I have loved Melissa since I watched her on "making the team" the dallas cowboys tryouts. she is just the girl next store, that everyone loves. I even related to her alot when she spoke about past relationships and how her friends are so loyal to her and want to see her be happy. But enough about that, right now I am watching "after the final rose part two" and I am listening to 5 previous bachelorettes and an audience full of women say " i hope it works out for him and molly" "you could really see his and molly's connection" and right now they are cheering for him as he walks out..can I just say..SERIOUSLY? I am surprised how people have responded to how much of an asshole he is. Seriously?!?! okay I don't think I can say much more, obviously these people who think he "followed his heart" have never felt heartbreak. I do think Melissa knew before she came out on the stage, because honestly she handled it waaaaay better than I would, and she had a bunch of questions lined up, it wasn't like she was sitting there in shock. Which does make me feel better for her, that she didn't have that bomb drop like that. ugh every time he opens his mouth I want to hit him, what a douche bag.

Nick and Mego

Thank you God for looking out for my dear friend Nicholas Schuyler. I remember the first time I layed eyes on Nick ( and yes I say layed eyes, because the boy is absolutely gorgeous), it was his freshman year (my sophomore) and Nate and I had walked out of koonce hall to wait for the campus loop to take us to the stadium. Standing there, like they were super models were Nick in gym clothes and his girlfriend Megan, (MEGO) she was in orange shorts and a hooters tank top, I at the time thought she worked there. But a normal human being could not take their eyes off this good looking couple, and I was no different. I later found out that Nick lived on Nate's floor, the 7th floor and they became fast friends. That spring break, Nate, Nick, Mego and 6 other guys and I drove down to Nick's dads house in Clearwater. I remember Nick makes the best scrambled eggs. It was the first time I ever had cheese in them. Although Nate and I didn't survive long after the trip, neither did Nick and Megan, we all remained good friends. When Nick decided to move down to Flordia with his girlfriend Chrissy, we didn't get to see him as much. Although when Chrissy and Nick broke up, Nick and I found ourselves taking 4 times a week on the phone about our heartbreaks. He would tell me how sad he was, and I would do the same, and then he would say "OMG, WTF" over and over and over in a grizzly voice. Eventually Nick found a new love, with his sisters friend Paula. I remember when I met Paula, Nick took me aside and said " it gets better Amy, I promise you, it does, look what I found." that was over two years ago, and I still remember it word for word. I had lost touch with Nick as Nate and began to grow more apart, but I have never forgotten our many phone calls and the way I felt that he understood how sad I was, and didn't think I was loosing it. I received the news that Nicks boat had gone missing last night at about 10:30 from Rhonda (Nate's mom). it seemed so unreal, that someone I knew could "go missing". My heart went out to his family, sister Kristen, Paula, Mego, Smithers, all of Nicks friend, but most of all Nate crossed my mind. Although Nate and I don't have any form of relationship, which is another story for another day, I found myself worried sick about him. Today at work I was telling my co-workers how one of my friends was the one missing. Just then my boss walked in and told me one of the guys had been found "clinging" to the boat. I immediately checked my phone. First I saw a text message from Mego telling me there would be a prayer ceremony for Nick in Chardon on Tuesday. Next I saw a missed call and message from Rhonda. My stomach dropped as I began to listen to the message. But felt relief when I heard her say "Hi Amy, I know its your first day at your new job, and I know you prob ally don't have your phone by you, but Paula called Nate, and Nate called me, they found Nick. He was clinging to the boat..he's alive." he's alive?..he's alive! I played those words over and over in my head, my hands shaking. Miracles do exist. Nick is a large man. Not heavy large, but the kind of guy whose 6'4, 230 pounds with like 6 % body fat. His hands are massive. All of which prob ally kept him alive. I have watched and read just about everything on the Internet involving his rescue. I watched him be pulled from the boat, to the hospital, saw him speak. Heard what he said to his mom "i just kept saying, you weren't going to come to my funeral" My heart still goes out for the three missing men and their families, but I am so happy Nick is safe and pray his recovery goes smoothly.
